ABOUT EOA

We are a progression-oriented raiding guild. If you have found your way here, you may have seen our thread on the forums, run with us, or at least browsed the website. So you know what we're about. If you have any questions, please get them answered before proceeding, by asking any of the officers in game.

EOA has a Raiding Alliance with select non-guild members. Raiding Alliance members do not need to become members of the guild. If you have already been invited to our Raiding Alliance by Raid Master Daf or Malaquias, please skip ahead to the application and disregard any blanks that are guild-specific (there are Raid-specific questions at the end, but some of the ones prior can still be answered by you).

Above all, this guild should be about maximizing the pleasure that is derived from the game!


GENERAL RULES

The following are not permitted:

∙ Use of offensive language in guild chat and on ventrilo*. Please be considerate of what might offend your other guild mates.
∙ Talking in all CAPS in guild chat.
∙ Bad mouthing or talking negatively or gossip about other guild mates. It is inevitable that we will have our differences but be mature enough to deal with any issues you may have yourself or, if necessary, to vent your frustrations to an officer as opposed to an entire chat/vent channel.
∙ Don’t hassle your guild mates. While we look highly upon those who help their guild mates they have the right to refuse to help if they are working on something else. Be respectful!

The above are all considered disruptions to the guild. We reserve the right to remove a member from the guild if they are committing any such disruptions at any time.

If at any time you’re fellow guild mate is adversely affecting your gaming experience, please alert an Officer. All officers will then discuss the necessary course of action.

*Note about language on vent: We understand that sometimes in the heat of adventure in raids or instances, members may get excited and drop an innocent F-bomb or such. If it does offend you, please do not hesitate to let the people in your vent chat know, or to alert an officer.


Help your fellow guild mates!

Keep this in mind when rolling on gear and when crafting items. That means no ninja-looting! You may like the item that drops, but unless it’s actually an upgrade for you, don’t be rolling need on it! If someone in your group can actually use it, don’t be rolling against them just because an alt of yours needs it. This, of course, only applies to runs you do with your fellow guild mates, but we would hope you conduct yourself like this all the time.

Anytime you are with guild-mates:

In Parties

Bind on Equip (BoE) is Greed v. Need. You should only be needing an item if your current character can make good use it. So if your alt could use it then you should not be needing the item. Don't just snag (needing them) items so you can sell them later. At this point in the game, there are few BOE items that we can call a need, so odds are everyone Greeds.

Bind on Pickup (BoP) is Pass First, then discuss ALWAYS. The discussion should basically revolve around the need issue as explained above, however tons of other issues such as could use for off-spec, another set of gear, etc etc can arise. Again, priority should be given to someone who can actually use the item for the good of the Raid.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Register on the Website

Your participation on the website’s forums and other pages will make your guild experience all the richer. All guild events will be posted on the guild website so your participation will require that you are registered on the website.

Fill out an application

Use the Guild Application form found under this thread. Please fill it out completely. We may retain applications up to 30 days as raid needs sometimes change. Contact Malaquias or Daf in-game to find out the status of your application.

Throughout the application process, please always log out of the game with your full raiding gear on, unbuffed. This will help us when we look at you on the Armory
