Currently, we are no longer accepting applications for the Raider Rank. However, after we select this first group, we will open sign ups for those who feel they are ready to be considered. Expect this to happen evert two to three weeks.
EoA is proud to announce the creation of a new guild rank – Raider. Guild members who achieve this rank will be given first priority for raid invites, first priority in loot drops, and first chance to see new instances.
SIGNUP IS REQUIRED BY: 1/13 Midnight Server Time
As we introduce this rank, we will be allowing any current guild member to be promoted to Raider upon request. However, the officers will be monitoring each Raider's progress and contributions in each raid. If a Raider does not meet the standards set by the guild, he or she will be demoted to regular member.
The officers will be observing the following to ensure the caliber of the Raiding unit:
Attendance
*Raiders must attend 70% of scheduled progression raids. Progression raids are ones that are not yet considered on farm (SSC, Mag, etc.) Currently, we are planning 3-4 progression raids per week.
*Raiders must be able to attend the entirety of the raid. Each scheduled raid will have a defined end time based on re-spawn timers. If you leave a raid before it is called, you will not get credit for having attended that raid.
Timeliness
*Raiders must be on time. On time is defined as online 15 minutes before the start of a scheduled raid and at the summoning stone 5 minutes before the raid.
*Raiders will adhere to scheduled raid breaks with no AFKs at other times. During a break, if a Raider leaves his or her computer, this must be designated by /afk. Breaks will be timed and all Raiders will be back ready to raid by the end of the break.
Preparedness
*Raiders must maintain their gear to the standards of the current raid. Your class lead will tell you what you need for gear, gems, enchants and resistance. It will be the Raider's responsibility to obtain these items outside the raid (i.e. farming badges for resistance sets, farming mats or money for enchants, gems, or crafted gear).
*Raiders must bring an appropriate amount of consumables needed for the raid. Your class lead will tell you what to bring. Each Raider will download and install an add-on (Prescription Pick-up http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Prescription_Pickup). This will let the officers know if you are carrying the proper consumables.
*Raiders will appear at the start of the raid fully repaired.
Performance
*Raiders will have required add-ons installed and in working order. Currently, we require Omen, Vent (you do not need a mic), Deadly Boss Mods or BigWigs, Visual Heal (for healers), Prescription Pickup and any other add-on your class lead recommends. You will find links for these add-ons to the left of the page.
*Raiders will follow all instruction given to them by their class leads, their coordinator (i.e. the Healing Coordinator, the Buffing Coordinator), and the Raid Leader.
*Raiders will perform their duty to the best of their ability at all times. Officers will be monitoring combat logs to see how effective each raider is at their assignment, whether that is tanking, healing, crowd control, or DPS.
*Raiders will have positive, helpful attitudes toward the raid.
As we move into the next exciting raid tier, we hope that those who choose to become Raiders will be proud to be a part of an elite raiding group.
If you would like to become a Raider, please /sign this thread by January 13, 2008.
Edit (Daf): Signup deadline has been extended to 1/13 at midnight server!!!
